UPDATED!

This year our Texas Summer Reading program is the Texas Jubilee- Read Across Texas. SO- that means yours truly is up to her ears in Texas/Desert/Western/Cowboy themed artwork.
Our main wall has critters dancing and playing music and when each child comes in to register for the reading program, they will get to put their name on a star and put it on the wall scene. We aren't totally done with it yet- but I did the critters with pastels and I took a few pics with my cellphone just until it's totally done, then I will take better photos with my camera.
My favorite critter is the little Raccoon. I laughed because his purple vest and yellow trim make him look like a little Crown Royal racconie! LOL

I'm a semi finalist again!
I entered MysticNiteKatt's Deviant Art Catgirl contest again. Last time I was a finalist and he split the Ebay Gift Certificate prize 4 ways. I entered again and I am a semi finalist again- but this time, TWO of my drawings are finalists! YEAH! One was a drawing I didn't really think he would like THAT much! LOL

1. I pick up stuff with my feet- more specifically- my toes. I have done it since I was a kid- my Mom used to until her pinched nerve acted up- my brother does it and so do my nephews. LOL. Nothing major- I just pick up toy cars, legos, etc, when my nephews are around and I am tired of bending to pick up little stuff.
2. I sleep with stuffed animals. ALOT. I have sinus probs and I usually have a mountain of pillows to prop me up at night and sometimes I use my plushies for the same thing, but sometimes, it's nice to have something soft when you need a hug, a good cry or a bitch and moan session and you know they will agree with you. LOL
3. I don't like to share. Honestly. When I was a kid, I was 11 years younger than my brother and sister. They were already married or in the military as I was growing up, so it was like I was an only child alot of the time and never had to share anyways! LOL. I DO share from time to time, but I don't always like it. I am such a brat. I WILL share my Oreos though- well, kinda...the cream part- since I scrape that part off anyways! LOL
4. I love to draw and doodle and I am some what artistically talented, but, I hate to paint- mainly because I don't have the patience to wait for each layer to dry- I often speed through painting and then have to fix it when stuff smears when I didn't wait long enough. LOL. I would like to paint more if it didn't take so long to wait! LOL
5. I get attached to clothing. Not just any kind- but my 'old faithfuls'....the super comfy almost see through tees....super soft nightgowns...faded, ripped, roomy and lived in jeans- I wear my 'rags' at home, not when I go out- I just like to be extra comfy when I am at home- I don't have to impress anyone and it just feels good.
6. Worst habit?
Biting my nails, mainly in my sleep when I am stressed. I also worry wayyy too much.
7. I have NEVER liked clowns much and I do tend to see many as scary or just very creepy. I know that sounds funny coming from the doll girl, but that’s how it is! LOL
8. I wish I could sculpt. I can draw, paint and play musical instruments but sculpting has always eluded me. I also wish I could sing better.

It's my birthday. I'm 30. I know people say I don't look it....I KNOW I don't FEEL 30...and even my MOM says I don't ACT it.
My sister in NJ sent me gifts...I am getting cake and Chick Fil A and waffle fries- like I do every year- for dinner. MMM.
It kinda feels like any other day. I guess it gets like that sometimes, when you get older. Well, that's about it for now. Kinda boring. LOL.

Hoo boy! Have I got a job ahead of me! Please be patient with me, folks! I am just now figuring out the whole 'folders' option to the gallery, so please bear with me. I will be going through my gallery when I have time and will be adding items and seperating things into folders.
Jeez. I feel like I am always so behind at discovering new options on my fav sites! LOL
